I am a health psychologist in Phoenix, AZ. I have specialized training in helping people with anxiety, stress, chronic pain, and chronic health conditions.
I received my doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from Arizona State University. I completed an American Psychological Association internship at the Salt Lake City VA and received training in health psychology, substance abuse, and trauma. My specialized chronic pain training was completed at the Phoenix VA. Some of the treatment modalities I am trained in include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and several other evidence based treatments.
I believe that knowledge is empowering. I strive to provide as much education and skills as I can to help people learn skills that best fits their life. You are the expert of your life and I provide you with skills to enhance the quality of your life while helping you achieve your goals. If therapy were a road trip you would be the driver and I would be your co-pilot!
I consider myself a Phoenician as I have been here most of my life. I appreciate the outdoor life that Arizona has to offer. In my own life, I practice yoga and mindfulness and often include the tenets of these practices in therapy. If you’re ready to begin focusing less on chronic pain and more on enhancing the quality of your life, contact me for a brief consultation to learn more about treatment options.
